Battle of the Patties

There are many places in Boston to get a good meal, but When I think of a good patty Juici Beef is the first place that comes to mind after all they are the original. Mothers comes as a close second. I hope I don’t get banned from Mothers after this. I have nothing but love for the patty game across the Caribbean, But nowhere nuh better than yard meaning Jamaica for those who don’t know. But mi live ah Boston and I’ve had patties from almost every Jamaican restaurants in Boston and hands down flames in Grove Hall has the best Jamaican beef patty. The temperature of the oven is Danm near perfect the patty is still juicy and not dry. Flavorful and nice. Not quite as flaky as only one but that’s the only place that I can say give them real competition. Shout out to the restaurant staff they have done a great job keeping the display clean and sanitary. The attitude of the staff is pleasant and very welcoming. They are fast and efficient moving you to checkout in a matter of minutes. I throughly enjoy coming to this place I have been coming here since it was Keith’s place. That’s a bit of a shock to some but prior to the restaurant being flames it was Keith’s place. My dad coincidentally named Keith used to come get lunch from this place when he could afford to. The corner store in grove hall provided coconie cookies when money couldn’t stretch. But that’s besides the point. None the less, the population in grove hall is majority African American but the food is worth the trip. Due to COVID seating is limited. There is the Grove Hall Mecca next door which hosts one of the first stop and shops in the area and CVS pharmacy and who can forget the Dunkin’ Donuts where I spent a majority of my night just hanging out with good friends. We were once so close I would call them family. There’s also a Bank of America for all of your banking needs.
