im torn with this journey because it gave voice to me. im thankful to be alive.
Born in May Pen Jamaica but grew up in the mean American streets of Boston.
attended Mineral Heights Primary as a child for Elementary then Washington Irving Middle School, and Graduated from Boston Community Leadership Academy and came to Graduate from Umass Boston with two Bachelors degrees one in Criminal Justice and the other in Psychology.
Fun Fact about me growing up i wanted to be a Veterinarian because i loved animals especially dogs. i had to surrender my very special dog in 2021. i don't know if he is still alive i would love the opportunity to be his mom again but maybe that ship has sailed. i have thought about reaching out to Ellen Degeneres and asking her to help me find my dog but then i think about my situation and im automatically in denial like where would i put the dog, i can't have animals here and i don't have money to take care of a dog and buy dog food. i just need my own apartment for me and my son. thats all ive ever wanted since the begining of this entire journey they humiliated me here in boston drugged me up on drugs that made me hallucinate i even streaked and showed up to a cookout in the nude as a dare to myself, crazy things ive done while on psychiatric medication include showing up to a person house asking/looking for food (too proud to apply for fs) at the time it made perfect sense, no i was high off psych cocktails for something like 3 years getting rushed to different hospitals became a routine. i missed my therapy appointment today and i have such a fear of missing appointments because i don't want to be dropped from services again it is so hard to find a therapist i waited close to three years to finally be placed with someone who else am i going to tell that i was molested at 6 year old by one of my cousins, played at school in jamaica with SeaBreeze and grew up a lonely child with two siblings.
my parents struggled to maintain property and our tummies fed, i was never without my mom and dad made sure we always had. i was always so thankful that my parents worked so well together but id be lying if i told you it was beautiful, there were fights, there are fights in every family but we experienced fits of jealousy. my dad was a very jealous man afterall my mom was very beautiful but he didn't spend enough time appreciating her her played his role in the house when he became disabled but the house became his territory no locked doors and the house was always spick and span, not a grain of rice out of place the walls were washed weekly and railed and wood polished. it was extremely orderly. i was afraid to make mistakes as soon as i left i started smoking to free my mind but my husband didn't like that he quickly ran to my parents with the little weed i had bought from my then brother in law. before the legalization of weed you had to have deep trust to be able to score any type of marijuana and i wasn't about to be caught in a parking lot scoring drugs from the plug. i can't say that my mom seemed unhappy because she spent a large majority of my life at work, it is only now that she has cut back on the excessive Ot but the house is finally covering itself after years of fighting with the mortgage. This house has become our home, i grew up here i felt like i should have rights to the property. did i mention i missed my appointment with my therapist and its sent my mind into a spiral thinking i'm going to loose my therapist.
sis jail is not a flex i spent one night there and i knew it wasn't for me. i was claustrophobic i was probably hyperventilating but was also adjusting to the new medication they put me on. i vandalized my neighbors car and was charged for it but i was being heavily stalked by my rapist who would pop up at my house for "hugs". my grandmother must be rolling in her grave at my luck but im stuck battling my pride, my grandmother stayed with her husband even though he was abusive to her and i didn't really want to divorce my husband but i wasn't going to fight it though because between the cheating accusation and the excessive hospitalization i was through shaking every time he walked into the room. My trust and comfort in him was completely shattered but there in front of me was my husband but he was different i am free now and i am simply enjoying my freedom. Sharing my life with my son and you guys online. Anyways i have started a new book, by Mel Robbins the "let them" theory. i have decided to tell my story. If you wish to judge Let them.
